More than studying: experience campus life
In addition to studying and living, there are plans to develop Student Campus Brightlands Venlo into a place where students can meet, relax and actively spend their free time.The future campus environment will include shared gardens, including community vegetable gardens, where students can come together and enjoy the green surroundings of the location.
There are also plans for various sports and leisure facilities. These may include outdoor activities such as running, bootcamp and golf, combined with modern indoor sports facilities such as fitness, dance and padel.
Afterwards, students will be able to meet and connect in a future student café. This way, the campus will become more than just a place to study and live; it will be a vibrant environment where connection, relaxation and meeting others are central.

Location
The Student Campus in Venlo will be located on the grounds of Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo. This modern and innovative location is situated in a green environment and provides an inspiring place for students to study, collaborate, and develop themselves. The campus is located close to important research and knowledge institutions, ensuring a close connection between education and practice.
Moreover, the location is easily accessible. Brightlands is situated close to the A67 and A73 and is easily reachable by car. The campus is also accessible by public transport, with bus connections from the center of Venlo and the train station. Additionally, the campus is easily accessible by bicycle from the city and surrounding neighborhoods.
Living, studying and enjoying life in one place
Plans are underway to develop a sustainable student campus on the former Floriade site, located on the southern side of Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo. In five phases, this location could grow into a vibrant living and learning environment for approximately 300 students, with a strong focus on innovation, functionality and connection.
The residential buildings will consist of both studios and apartments, complemented by various shared facilities. These include meeting spaces for studying, relaxation and events, modern laundry facilities, indoor bicycle storage with shared bikes, and parking facilities with shared cars. Thanks to direct cycling connections and excellent public transport links, Venlo city centre and other amenities are easily accessible. The plans also include space for a supermarket on the campus grounds.
The project is currently in the exploratory phase. We are researching the level of interest in this future student campus. By registering your interest, you help us understand the demand for student housing at this unique location and you will receive priority in case this project moves forward.

Studios
The studios are designed with an efficient layout, making optimal use of the available space. The bathroom, storage area and kitchen are located near the entrance, creating a practical and comfortable living space. Large windows provide plenty of natural daylight and create a pleasant living environment.
The studios will feature high-quality PVC flooring and wall finishes. The bathroom will be fully equipped, including a towel radiator, mirror and bathroom cabinet. The kitchen is planned to include a fridge-freezer combination, combi oven, induction hob, recirculation hood, mixer tap, sink and connection for a dishwasher.
Sustainable installations will contribute to a healthy and comfortable indoor climate. With high-quality ventilation, efficient heating and active cooling (air conditioning), the aim is to provide optimal living comfort throughout the year.

Apartments
The apartments are designed with a practical and efficient layout, featuring a lockable entrance hall with access to a storage area and space for a wardrobe.
A smart layout ensures optimal use of the available living space. Large windows provide plenty of daylight and create a pleasant living environment.
The apartments will be finished with high-quality PVC flooring and wall finishes in the bedroom, hallway and living room. The bathroom will be fully equipped with, among other things, a towel radiator, mirror and bathroom cabinet. The kitchen will include modern appliances such as a fridge-freezer combination, combi oven, induction hob, recirculation hood, mixer tap, sink and connection for a dishwasher.
The apartments will also include sustainable installations that contribute to a healthy and comfortable indoor climate, including efficient ventilation, heating and active cooling (air conditioning).
Please note: the apartments are part of the plans and will only be realised if there is sufficient interest and the project proves feasible.
